About this show
The Willamette Coin Club sponsors this annual Portland convention in conjunction with the Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association, running Friday through Sunday in the fourth quarter of the year. The combined bourse carries more than 100 tables of local, regional and national dealers, and the club promotes it as the largest coin show of the year in the Pacific Northwest. An exhibit area at the front of the bourse room holds collector exhibits and hosts educational talks and workshops through show hours, with recurring subjects including inherited collections, error coins and paper money.
- The Willamette Coin Club has been active in Portland since 1986 and holds one convention per year.
- Activities for children and youths run alongside the bourse, and the club operates a Young Numismatist program for collectors under 21 that distributes free coins.
- A Scout Coin Collecting Merit Badge workshop is a standing part of the show program.
- The PNNA board meets on the Saturday of the show, with members invited.
