About this show
The South Carolina Numismatic Association, a non-profit statewide club with more than 300 individual members and 12 member clubs, holds this convention and bourse once a year, with local coin clubs supplying volunteers. The dealer floor has run from roughly 100 tables to more than 200 in recent years, with dealers from across the Southeast handling coins, paper money, tokens and medals. Alongside the bourse are collector exhibits, Saturday educational programs for adults and young collectors, and a silent auction. Many dealers offer free informal appraisals to visitors who bring material.
- The association traces its founding and its convention series to 1973.
- An SCNA Coin Club Exhibit Competition is held in addition to individual and Young Numismatist exhibits.
- The Young Numismatist program is aimed at collectors ages 8 to 18 and is free and open to the public.
- The association holds its general membership meeting during the convention.
