About this show

The Pennsylvania Association of Numismatists, a non-profit state organization of individual collectors and member clubs, holds this three-day convention each spring, with a companion show every fall. The bourse runs to more than 130 tables and over 100 dealers handling coins, paper money, tokens, medals, gold, silver and bullion. Alongside the trading floor, the convention carries a lecture program, a competitive exhibit area and an association banquet. PAN describes it as the largest national coin show in the northeastern United States.

  • PAN was founded in 1978 and promotes the hobby through shows, lectures, seminars and a journal.
  • The PAN Lecture Series offers numismatic talks at no cost and is open to the public.
  • Collectors can enter displays in the competitive exhibit categories, which are judged for prizes.
  • PCGS staff attend to accept grading submissions, and the company has run a hands-on grading seminar at the show.

Before you go

Bring a sheet built from your want list: what each coin is worth right now, what to pay and when to walk. Print it, or keep it on your phone. It opens with no signal, which in most show halls is the signal you get.
