About this show
The Michigan State Numismatic Society, a nonprofit statewide organization with more than 20 member clubs, holds this fall convention once a year, one of two conventions it runs annually. The bourse carries over 100 dealer tables, with dealers traveling from around the country. ANACS accepts grading submissions on site across all three days, and the floor also hosts competitive exhibits in adult and junior classes with a People's Choice Award. Free educational talks, a Young Numismatist program for ages 4 to 17, and dealer evaluations for visitors bringing material to sell round out the schedule.
- MSNS was founded on November 17, 1956, during its first convention at the Detroit Leland Hotel, making the convention series as old as the society.
- An official online auction run by Silver City Auctions carries 300 or more lots, with lot viewing and registration at the convention.
- A Young Numismatist silent auction on the show floor raises money for the MSNS youth program.
- The fall convention has a long association with Thanksgiving weekend in the Detroit area, including a run at the Dearborn Hyatt beginning in 1975.

Coin shops near the venue
Within 15miles, if you are making a day of it. Shop hours are on each shop's page where we have them.
Before you go
Bring a sheet built from your want list: what each coin is worth right now, what to pay and when to walk. Print it, or keep it on your phone. It opens with no signal, which in most show halls is the signal you get.
