About this show

The American Numismatic Association produces the National Money Show as its spring convention, held once a year in a different host city alongside the summer World's Fair of Money. The bourse floor draws hundreds of dealers buying, selling and trading coins, currency and related material; recent editions of the series have run in the range of 166 to 216 tables. Programming around the floor includes collector exhibits, free Money Talks presentations by numismatic authorities, a showcase of material from the ANA's Edward C. Rochette Money Museum, and an official auction. The major grading services also take submissions on site.

  • The ANA has held conventions nationwide in most years since 1891, and two per year since 1978.
  • Collector exhibits are open to ANA members by application, with case limits that differ from the summer convention.
  • The youth program, Ernie's Treasure Treehouse, offers activities for children in grades K-12, who earn "Hoot Loot" to spend on coins, Mint sets and albums.
  • Past editions have included technical seminars on subjects such as counterfeit detection.

Before you go

Bring a sheet built from your want list: what each coin is worth right now, what to pay and when to walk. Print it, or keep it on your phone. It opens with no signal, which in most show halls is the signal you get.
