About this show

Florida United Numismatists, Inc., a statewide nonprofit association founded in 1955, runs this convention annually in the winter months, a schedule chosen early on so northern collectors and dealers would have reason to travel to Florida. Recent editions have carried roughly 700 to 800 dealer booths, with well over 1,500 dealers present and attendance reported above 10,000. Alongside the bourse there is an exhibit area with competitive exhibits, about 14 educational programs, a kids' booth, Young Numismatist activities and Boy Scout coin collecting merit badge sessions. Heritage Auctions serves as official auctioneer, holding Signature sales of United States coins and currency in conjunction with the convention.

NGC and PMG accept submissions at the show, including on-site grading and encapsulation of US coins and regular submissions for all service levels.
PCGS offers on-site grading for US coins at the show and accepts banknote submissions for office grading.
The first convention, in the mid-1950s, had 10 bourse tables and just under 400 people in total attendance.
Floor programming has included early-1800s minting demonstrations by a mini mint, elongated-cent rolling and costumed historical interpreters.

Before you go

Bring a sheet built from your want list: what each coin is worth right now, what to pay and when to walk. Print it, or keep it on your phone. It opens with no signal, which in most show halls is the signal you get.
