About this show
The Greater Houston Coin Club runs this annual two-day bourse, branded The Money Show of the Southwest, with 125 dealer tables and roughly 150 local, regional and national dealers. Material on the floor covers U.S., world and ancient coins, paper money, error coins, medals and tokens, bullion, numismatic literature, supplies and coin jewelry, with professional security on site. The program adds a judged exhibits room, educational speakers, an Early Cents Auction held on the Friday and Saturday evenings, and youth activities. Editions are numbered sequentially, with the 60th held in 2016 and the 67th in January 2024.
- PCGS and NGC accept authentication and grading submissions at the show, including banknotes.
- Exhibits are judged by category, with cash prizes for first place and Best in Show, plus the Bill Watson Peoples' Choice Award voted by attendees and the Barney Loebe Award for the best exhibit by a club member.
- First-time exhibitors are offered incentives, and there is a separate young numismatist exhibit category.
- Youth programming includes a free coin for the first 200 young attendees, Saturday children's activities, a youth auction and a Scout merit badge clinic.

Coin shops near the venue
Within 15miles, if you are making a day of it. Shop hours are on each shop's page where we have them.
Before you go
Bring a sheet built from your want list: what each coin is worth right now, what to pay and when to walk. Print it, or keep it on your phone. It opens with no signal, which in most show halls is the signal you get.
