About this show
The Southwest Georgia Coin Club, also known as the Albany Coin Club or SOWEGA Coin Club, sponsors this annual two-day show each March, run by a bourse committee of club officers. The floor holds about 40 tables taken by roughly 20 to 25 dealers from around the Southeast, handling coins, currency, tokens, jewelry and collecting supplies. Free appraisal and authentication are offered by club members and dealers, and club members bring display material, including exhibits of Confederate and Civil War-era currency. The club holds the show to introduce area residents to coin collecting, and much of the instruction happens informally on the bourse floor.
- The show has been held annually for close to two decades, with editions numbered in sequence.
- Raffles and door prizes are a standing feature, including a $1 gold coin among the prizes.
- For about 14 editions the show was held in Albany proper before moving to Lee County.
- A food truck and snack bar accompany the show at its current location.

Before you go
Bring a sheet built from your want list: what each coin is worth right now, what to pay and when to walk. Print it, or keep it on your phone. It opens with no signal, which in most show halls is the signal you get.
