About this show
The Diablo Numismatic Society, an East Bay coin club founded in 1960, puts on this annual show each October. The bourse holds about 65 tables, with more than 30 dealers from around the West Coast handling coins, currency and related collectibles. Dealers have offered free informal appraisals to visitors, and the show has run prize drawings, including drawings for coins. The event has passed its 25th edition and draws local collectors into contact with the sponsoring club.
- The sponsoring club meets monthly on the third Thursday and was incorporated in August 1962.
- Earlier editions were held in nearby Concord before the move to Walnut Creek.
- A Boy Scout troop has hosted a youth coin exhibit at the show, with free coins for children.
